Which Harry Potter Character are you?
.adrienne got Cedric Diggory.
Popular, intelligent, loyal, good looking. Some of the many things that describe you. You know what you want in life and how to achieve your goals. You put on a brave facade, but underneath are scared of the same things many others are. You strive to achieve your best and wont accept anything lower. You are extremely loyal to your friends and wouldn't do anything to hurt another person. Because you are seemingly good at everything, people will dislike you for being so 'perfect'.

Which Shakespearean lady are you?
.adrienne got Ophelia.
From Hamlet. You are lonely and depressed. You believe in love, but your experience has taught you that love is bittersweet. You want to be happy but things don't always work out in your favor. Keep trynig, though - and stay away from lakes for a while..

Greetings Deadlings,

In less than three weeks the dead will rise and walk the streets of Toronto! We hope to see your maggot ridden, decaying corpse there on October 23rd!!!

The walk starts at 3pm….that means we must unleash the zombies upon the city at exactly 3pm!

So festivities will start at Trinity Bellwoods Park at 12pm, as will registration. If you have registered online and want to get your TZW toe tag be there early.

Besides for just mingling with fellow zombies, you may also want to partake in the Henry’s Photo Booth. Starting at 12pm Henry’s will be there to capture all your UNDEAD memories, while raising money for The Connect Learning Centre.

Creeped Out will also have its’ blood booth open. So, if you are feeling a little desiccated drop by for some vital fluid.
Prizes for costumes, best walk, moan, etc…will be given out before the walk starts. We also have a special guest in the works (…..so stay tuned for more deadtails).

But, if you still can’t get there early, and you want a TZW registration Toe Tag you can drop by one of our official registration stations any day before the walk. Eyesore Cinema (801 Queen St West) or Starstruck Entertainment (Square 1 Mississauga).

Eyesore Entertainment will be open for registration and you can enter to win some ghoul prize packs on the day of The Toronto Zombie Walk. They are just a chop, skip and shamble away from the TZW start point.

The route is now on the site.
~ The walk ends in Christie Pits Park this year, be there for some gruesome flesh feasting and deadly rock and roll.

Rot Maps and Gore guides are available at Eyesore Cinema, Starstruck Entertainment (Square 1)and other select stores around the city. Pick one up for info. It also contains a coupon for Screamworks. These can be picked up on the day of the walk as well.

Desert Song by Hillsong

This is my prayer in the desert
When all that's within me feels dry
This is my prayer in my hunger and need
My God is the God who provides

This is my prayer in the fire
And weakness or trial or pain
There is faith proved of more worth than gold
So refine me lord through the flames

I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain

I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and he is here

This is my prayer in the battle
When triumph is still on its way
I am a conqueror and co-heir with Christ
So firm on his promise I'll stand

I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain

I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and he is here

All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have reason to worship

All of my life
In every season
You are still God
I have a reason to sing
I have a reason to worship

I will bring praise
I will bring praise
No weapon formed against me shall remain

I will rejoice
I will declare
God is my victory and he is here

And this is my prayer in the harvest
And favor and providence flow
I know I'm filled to be emptied again
The seed I received I will sow

What classic movie quote are you?
Result: Louis, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.
You are very charming and witty and always seem to be making friends. Even enemies are drawn to your clever nature. This quote is from Casablanca (1942), arguably one of the greatest movies ever made. In this scene, Humphrey Bogart's character Rick Blaine befriends his rival, local police captain Louis Renault (Claude Rains).

Photographs from G20 and riots in history

An update from the facebook group Torontonians Against Martial Law

i found all of the articles interesting, the photos heartbreaking and the anarchists a little bit frightening, but each piece presents a point or two worth thinking about.  i am not an anarchist, i do not believe in violence or smashing things, but then i have known some anarchists in my life, and i have never seen them smash anything either...  Over a month later and i am still as confused by G20 as i was when it happened. i do not think anyone can say for certain they know what happened or why, we can just pray that the truth will out, and the voices will not be silenced, thanks to Justin Beach for continuing to put articles together for us,

I Thought this was pretty cool. From Stephen Harper's Point of view it's one thing to have protests in all of Canada's major cities. Harper doesn't like Canadians anyway. He worships the US though and tomorrow there is a solidarity rally planned in front of the Canadian Consulate in Chicago (President Obama's Home Town)

a lovely quote

A friend of mine had this in her twitter feed, and i thought it was very inspiring and appropriate to share with my friends, it is lovely because of the truth in the statement, and the way love is expressed, thanks again to her for permission to copy paste.

RT @sfslim: It is truly a wondrous thing to have ones friends also be ones heroes. Such blessings humble and inspire me daily

a timely message

i am in the process of the post-convention email sort, and i came across this, my dear friend Natalie sent it to me, it was a forward, with an image and the title 'thought for the day- considering the weekend, i would say that me receiving this message now, is the result of grace.

The Final Analysis
People are often unreasonable, self-centred: Forgive them anyway. If you are Honest, People may cheat you, but be Honest anyway. What you spend years to build, someone could destroy overnight. Build anyway. The good you do today, People will often forget tomorrow. Do Good anyway. You see, in the final analysis it is between you and God; it never was between you and them anyway.

take care my friends, and if you are non-believers, i in no way mean to offend you. i just want to share the love in this message, and another way of looking at it, is that in the end it was between you and the universe or whichever works for you.

big hugs.

Some G20 links

Please note,  my wanting answers does not make me an anarchist, i have respect for the government and the police when they are working within the law- i have no respect for rioters or violent protesters, and i have every respect for protesters and activists that are trying to make our country and the world a better place

it is in good faith that i share these links, because i am multi tasking and have not read them, but Justin has been very active in seeking information and supporting people with regards to the G20- and i have read most of his findings just not these hence me putting them here, so i can get to them later

NOTE there is an article from Psychology Today

Justin Beach sent a message to the members of Torontonians Against Martial Law.

links are hereCollapse )
